Buses in Paris will start testing an environmentally friendly diesel
developed by the oil company Elf this autumn. The fuel contains 10 per cent
water and a secret additive to keep the water and diesel emulsified. Elf says
that the fuel cuts emissions of nitrogen oxides by a third and of microscopic
particles by a half.
