Hill Grove Farm in Oxfordshire, Britain’s last breeding centre for cats used
in research, has closed after a two-and-a-half-year campaign by animal rights
activists. The farmer, Christopher Brown, was subjected to death threats,
attacks and raids, and Thames Valley Police spent nearly £3 million
protecting him.
