For auction: Russian space shuttle. One careful owner, 14 years old but never been used. Looking for at least $6 million. In what many would consider to be the bargain of the century, Russian space contractor NPO Molniya is reportedly auctioning its ageing shuttle, the Buran, on a Californian radio station’s website. Anyone interested should note, however, that while the Buran is thought to be fully operational, it has never actually been into space, having languished in an aircraft hangar since 1988.
